Charitable Road to Wembley

A short journey along the A14 took us to the first leg of our Charitable Road to Wembley.

Felixstowe and Walton made us very welcome, a nice piece in their program and an address over the P/A system. A great game of football with both sides giving their all. Felixstowe lead at the break 1-0, but early pressure in the second half saw Safron come close to equalizing. But then, following a good spell of pressure from the seasiders they doubled their lead. Heads started to drop in the away team ranks and it was just a matter of time before Felixstowe scored again. They did score and ran out 3-0 winners. Great burgers and a healthy collection to boot.
