Charitable Road to Wembley

In difficult conditions Bournemouth set about Burton in some style, with an early goal from Pitman it looked like the home side would run away with it. In spite of long periods of neat football from the home side Burton were always in the game. A deflected free kick proved the point as the ball went into the opposite side of the goal to the keeper.

More pressure from Bournemouth late in the first half saw them go into the break 2-1 up. well deserved it was too.

As the second half started the strength of the wind and the rain seemed to increase, as much as they tried the Cherries couldnt put the tie to bed... that was until 7 minutes from time when Ryan Fraser made it 3-1.

After that it was all over, the icing on the cake for Bournemouth was the 4th goal from the penalty spot, sadly missed by me as I had decided it was time to hit the road!
