Match No 6

Fourth Round Qualifying Gloucester vs Hampton & Richmond Saturday 26th October 2013

Crowd 630

Collection £130

Weather Cloudy

Left at 9am with a promise of a look around Oxford and a KFC.. then the good old M25 had its say. Now running late, an interview with Mark Murphy looming and not eaten. We managed to find a Macdonalds on the A40 and I did the interview in the car park.
We eventually arrive at the ground at 2.50 and found our contacts at Gloucester City. Unfortunately the P A announcer was also having a bad day and wasnt there. He did arrive just before the game started but could only make his announcement about our collection at half time, still better late than never.
The game started with Hampton playing the better football, encouraged by a large following the very impressive Charlie Moone put Hampton 1-0 up at half time. Not sure what was said in the dressing room but Gloucester came out in the second half and looked like a team from a higher league.
Darren Mullings equalised and it was one way traffic. With 10 minutes to go Turl scored his first ever goal for Gloucester. As Hampton pushed for an equliser Gloucester wrapped it up with a goal from Webb in the last minute.

With a crowd of 683, mostly home fans, with a smile on their face we enjoyed a better collection as we stood by the exit.
Overall journey was nearly 400 miles but a collection of almost £130. Final score 3-1
