What a great atmosphere, but would you expect anything else in the quarter finals of the best cup competition in the world between to great clubs. Everton started really well, they fizzed the ball around and caused Arsenal plenty of problems in the first 5 minutes. Then, against the run of play, a quick break from the home team saw the ball played to Ozil who neatly picked his spot and slotted it past Robles. That deflated the visitors and Arsenal started to look threatening with a couple of half chances, but as is their way they are reluctant to shoot. But then, again against the run of play, Everton got level with a well worked move that saw Lukaku eventually bundle the ball over the line. The remainder of the first half and the majority of the second period was end to end with loads of skill and plenty of great passing. As the match entered the final quarter Arsenal scored from the spot, a really well taken penalty, twice, from Arteta sent the home fans into raptures. That gave Arsenal all they needed as they hit Everton with 2 late goals. The scoreline was a little flattering for Arsenal but they move on to the semi finals.
