Charitable Road to Wembley

A truly great football stadium hosting the semi final of the greatest domestic cup competition in the world.

Arsenal started with conviction and style as they moved the ball around with ease.... But as is the way with the premier league team they wanted to walk the ball into the net. As the first halve moved on Wigan began to get into the match and certainly weren't overawed by Arsenal. 

Wigan took the lead from a nailed on penalty and looked to be holding on for a famous victory but with eight minutes of normal time remaining Arsenal equalised and thats how it ended. And so to extra time, that showed how much the players had given as player after player went down with cramp. A few chances came and went but the 30 minutes flew by.

After a short wait the penalty shoot out started with Wigan failing to do what they had managed in normal time and missed their first two spot kicks. With Arsenal slotting them both and the shoot out standing at 0-2 with 3 to go it really was all over bar the shouting.... and so it proved as the premier league team booked a date with Wembley on May the 17th.
